Current Issue
The MEDCOM 2024 Conference, held on May 9-10, 2024, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Isanka P. Gamage, Managing Director of The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka. The conference was chaired by Dr. Tülay Atay from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Turkey; Prof. Andrea Volterrani from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy; and Dr. Chris Fenner from the University of West Florida, USA. MEDCOM 2024 was co-hosted by The International Network of Media and Communication (INMC) and Thammasat University’s Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication in Thailand, and supported by numerous academic institutions worldwide, including Central University of Technology, South Africa; Kalindi College, University of Delhi, India; and Telkom University, Indonesia.
Esteemed keynote speakers at the conference included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Victor Lim Fei of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Assoc. Prof. Shane Homan from Monash University, Australia; Prof. Dr. Suda Ishida from Hamline University, USA; Dr. Abdul Basit from the University of Management and Technology, Pakistan; Prof. Dr. Çiler Dursun from the University of Ankara, Turkey; Prof. Dr. Bhavna Wal of Amity University, India; and Dr. Luis Almeida from Claflin University, USA. Together, they addressed pivotal themes in media and communication, exploring innovative approaches within the context of crisis, conflict, and creative communication, reinforcing MEDCOM's mission as a global platform for academic discourse and professional networking in media studies.

The principal aim of Proceedings of the World Conference on Media and Mass Communication is to cover any aspect of research into the broad topics of Media and Communication. It is devoted to disseminate knowledge and establish channels of communication between academic and research experts, Scholars, policy makers, Media institutions and Society at large.
The proceedings publish original scientific research papers, review papers, short notes on research in progress dealing with Media and Communication.
