Emeritus Prof. Luc Hens, Editor in Chief of the Environment, Development and Sustainability journal, moderated a workshop on “How to write a scientific paper?” in parallel to the 7^th International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC) 2023 on 31^st of January 2023.

This workshop provided the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to write a successful scientific paper in the following areas.

1. Review levels, and dealing with review comments.
2. Concluding a research project
3. Preparing and submitting manuscripts
4. Ethical issues including plagiarism, correct and honest referencing, the selection of the authors, use of corrigenda and retraction, scientific and an academic honesty

Participants got the opportunity to clear out their questions at the end of the workshop. Participants of this workshop gained valuable insight into the process of writing scientific papers and an understanding of the fundamentals and techniques needed for success in this field.
