Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another proceedings or journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submissions

Authors are required to comply with all of the following check list items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

(Checklist as in OJS, must include APA referencing style, word count, MS word format, Maximum file size)

All submissions should be made via the Open Journal System (OJS) (link here) and word count of each manuscript should be from 5000-7000 (including abstract and reference list) and be written in UK English.

Title Page

All manuscripts should have a title page and full name (s), affiliation (s), email address(s), of all the authors should be included in the Title page of the manuscript. This is to facilitate double blind peer-review by not including author details anywhere else in the manuscript.

 

Author Instructions for submission

Authors need to Register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in (using your username and password) and begin the five-step process.

 

Click on “make a new submission” in the submissions tab

Step 1 - Start

Check the check-list after making sure the manuscript comply with the list. Tick other compulsory items in the check list and save and continue

Step 2 – Upload you submission

Select article type and upload your manuscript. Manuscript should be in MS Word format. No other formats are accepted. Complete step two and click save and continue

Step 3 – Enter Metadata

Meta data entered should be accurate. Title, Abstract, List of contributors, Keywords and References (Reference list) are musts.

Add contributors option can be used to add co-authors if any. If you are the corresponding author for the manuscript please tick, “Principal contact for editorial correspondence”. All editorial correspondences will be handled with this author.

Save changes and press save and continue.

Step 4 – Confirmation

Click “Finish submission” to complete the submission

 

Manuscript formatting guidelines

Text

Manuscripts should be typed in 11 point font Times New Roman, single spaced and all text should be justified.

Abstract and Key Words

Abstract should not exceed 275 words and author should identify 3-6 keywords

Acronyms

All acronyms should be spelled out the first time they are introduced in text or references. Thereafter the acronym can be used if appropriate, e.g. 'The work for the Organization of United Nations (OUN)...'. Subsequently, 'The OUN studies on...', in a reference ... (Organization of United Nations [OUN] 1989).

Tables and Figures

All tables and figures should be incorporated to the main manuscript (other than appendices) and should be numbered in order and given titles as appropriate.

All tables and figures must be referred to in text as follows: Figure 1, Table 1, i.e. 'As seen in Table [or Figure] 1 ...' (not tab., fig. or Fig). All figures must be numbered in the order in which they appear in the paper (e.g. Figure 1, Figure 2). Please ensure that tables do not split over the page.

In text citations

Provide in text citation where applicable. No in text citation should be missing in the reference list

Referencing

APA 6th Edition style is the accepted style of referencing and the reference list should be arranged in alphabetical order.

Acknowledgement

If authors would acknowledge funding agencies or any other bodies which supported the study, they may include an acknowledgement in the manuscript
