Effect Of Knowledge Management Skills on Academic Achievement of Students at Higher Secondary Level in Punjab Group of Colleges Islamabad, Pakistan

Knowledge management is a new arising field. It is the ability of collecting, analyzing, storing and sharing of information in an effective way. Effective knowledge generates by conducting good educational activities and by generating innovative ideas, all these are effectively possible when there is knowledge management skill. The topic of the study was relationship of knowledge management skill and academic achievement of students at higher secondary level. There were three objectives, three research questions and one hypothesis. The objectives of the study were; to explore knowledge management skills of higher secondary students, to explore the academic achievement of higher secondary students and to find out relationship of knowledge management skill and academic achievement of students at higher secondary level. There is significant relationship between knowledge management skills and academic achievement of students at higher secondary level. The research design of this study was descriptive and quantitative in nature. Survey technique was used. Questionnaires were distributed among students through personal visit. Population of the study was Punjab College students. The populations were taken through college record and were 280 and sample size as 162. Data was analyzed by using SPSS version 20 through Pearson correlation. It was concluded from the findings that the significant value is 0.05 which revealed that there is a significant relationship between Knowledge management skill and academic achievements of students. As there is a significant relationship so, the teachers will come to know about this skill and they will focus to enhance this skill in students. It is recommended for higher secondary schools and teachers to make students aware about this skill and develop these skills in them for better achievements. It is recommended for future researcher that this study may also be done at university students to get more knowledge about knowledge management skill.
