It might be argued that any Vietnamese has the right to be proud of the magnificent beauty of the golden light, the iridescence of clams and eggs, and the depth of bright red and deep blue colors in lacquer Vietnam paintings. Furthermore, traditional lacquer in Binh Duong province, Vietnam, is no exception to such aesthetic flow and is no less unique, capturing spectators' attention in a fascinating and bizarre manner. Today, the majority of residents in Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer hamlet in Binh Duong province specialize in producing gold-plated lacquer to provide for the basic needs of the region and the entire country of Vietnam. At the same time, they have developed works that have both memento value, which helps to build craft villages and tourism, and high creative value, which is worthy of prominent artists in craft villages. The author of the article combined the interdisciplinary research method of history and cultural studies with the fine art method, analyzing migration, acculturation, and historical data on the formation and development of lacquer in Binh Duong province through works such as Thanh Le lacquer, Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer, and Dinh Hoa lacquer. At the same time, the author of the article examines the features of artistic language to highlight the traditional and modern qualities that are always present in lacquer paintings in Binh Duong province. It needs to be understood and underlined so that future generations can inherit, promote, and protect the local national cultural identity.

This study addresses the urgent need to preserve and transmit Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) in the face of global cultural homogenization and rapid modernization. The primary aim is to explore how digital technologies can be effectively utilized to safeguard and inherit ICH, ensuring that these cultural practices continue to thrive. The research employs a multi-faceted approach, including case studies, technological assessments, and expert interviews to analyze the application of digital technologies in preserving ICH. Specifically, the study investigates the use of digital tools such as 3D scanning, virtual reality (VR), and multimedia archives in documenting, storing, and disseminating cultural artifacts. By examining both successful and challenging implementations, the study provides a comprehensive overview of how these technologies can be applied in various cultural contexts. The findings highlight the significant advantages of digital technologies in ICH preservation, including their ability to create detailed records, enhance accessibility, and facilitate global dissemination. Specific examples include the use of VR in creating immersive experiences of cultural practices, and 3D scanning for preserving the intricacies of traditional crafts. These technologies not only ensure the preservation of ICH but also contribute to its dynamic transmission across generations and geographies. The study concludes that integrating digital technologies into ICH preservation strategies is not just beneficial but essential for the sustainability of cultural heritage in the digital age. The implications of this research extend to policymakers, cultural institutions, and technologists, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts in developing and implementing digital preservation strategies that respect and enhance the value of ICH.

By 2050, 70% of the global population will reside in cities, making urban areas central to the future of global life. Currently, large cities have numerous advantages in resident welfare, job opportunities, and public spaces, attracting a large number of young people and ensuring urban vitality. However, this trend has diluted the populations of small and medium-sized cities, causing them to enter an ageing society earlier, and in some cases the risk of disappearing. In order to address this challenge, improving the quality of life of the inhabitants, revitalizing small and medium-sized cities, and rethinking the possibilities of 'activating' urban spaces and branding cities have become important research directions for urban policy makers, designers, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Artistic interventions are an innovative strategy for the revitalization of small and medium-sized cities and their sustainable social and economic development by enhancing the memory and emotional climate (happiness, sense of belonging, place attachment) of the inhabitants and promoting their cohesion towards the city. This paper analyzes and discusses how artistic interventions can promote innovation and city branding in urban public spaces from both short-term and long-term impact dimensions. Through a simulated practice in the small northern Italian city of Piacenza, the application of the research theory is demonstrated, aiming to provide references and methodologies for sustainable urban regeneration.
